About
Welcome to UGAB Cenas (Union General Armenia de Beneficencia), a hidden gem located in the heart of Buenos Aires. Since 1982, this unique establishment has been serving up authentic Middle Eastern and Armenian cuisine, all while contributing to a noble cause. Managed by the parents of students from the local Armenian high school, each meal helps fund their senior trips, making your dining experience not only delicious but also meaningful.
As you step into UGAB, you might be surprised to find the restaurant tucked away in the second basement of its building. However, once you arrive, you'll discover a spacious dining area filled with warmth, lively chatter, and the tantalizing aromas of traditional Armenian dishes. The attentive staff, comprised of enthusiastic students and their families, is eager to make your experience memorable, although it may bring a homey, albeit slightly chaotic, vibe.
Patrons rave about the standout dishes, such as the creamy hummus, rich penne, and decadent cheesecake encased in "masa filo." Each bite transports you to a world of vibrant flavors, reflecting the rich heritage of Armenian cooking. Shoppers along Calle Armenia often venture here for a Saturday night meal, only to find themselves unexpectedly rewarded with a culinary delight. As one customer noted, “it might seem complicated to get parking or to sit down, but the experience is well worth any effort.”

“ Excellent food !!... nice family ambient. But spicy price.... ”
“ It's the second time that I visit this confortable place. We choose hummus, pens and cheese cake with "masa filo". ”
“ incredible do not miss it! All for a great cause too! ”
“ This is an armenian food "restaurant" managed by the armenian highschool were the parents of the highscoolers, they use all the many to pay for their senior year trip to armenia and many places in Europe, so you are helping a good cause. The food is amongst the best armenian food you can have in buenos aires and the price is on the cheap side. There is also a show where the students dance armenian tipycal dances. The service is not that good since they are studants and their parents helping so its a little messy but nothing really bad. The only cons is that it can get a little noisy and hard to talk at time but its ok becuse you go there for the cheap yummy food. ”
“ One of the best places to eat Middle Eastern - Armenian food. Cooking since 1982 ..parents commanding the kitchen, kids servicing. Worth placing a reservation. ”
“ Sometimes the best places come completely unexpected! Walking around Calle Armenia, looking to have some good food on a Saturday night… it might seem complicated to get parking or to sit down at a restaurant without having to wait for a table… When I noticed that there was a restaurant inside of UGAB, I asked 2 gentle ladies at the reception and they indicated to go ask at the second basement. Second basement?!? Got there, huge place, no wait, extremely attentive staff, amazing traditional Armenian food. The overall experience was 10/10, lucky to have stumbled upon this place. Will recommend and return. ”
